Vanessa Kudrat is an extraordinary woman of many talents and great beauty. I’ve recently had the pleasure of attending a workshop she co-facilitated with Katie Day (aka Guru Jagat aka Kundalini Katie) in Venice, California.
The 3-hour Sacred Sound and Movement workshop was awesome. It had the perfect combination of yoga, meditation, breathwork, live music, delicious cleansing tonics, great people and a sunny Sunday morning.
At the end of the workshop, my friend and I felt so energized, so vital and so elevated, so we celebrated with burgers and fries. It was then that I realized I needed something stronger. I needed to go deeper and work on my diet and eating habits.
Luckily for me (or maybe fate?), Vanessa let us know during the workshop that she would be guiding a 40-day cleanse soon thereafter.
Here’s what she wrote:
“Cleansing and fasting is nothing new. Open a bible to see that our ancestors have prescribed cleansing as medicine for as long as we have been on the planet. Even animals know to fast, for instance, after being bitten by a rattlesnake, to purge the toxins from their bodies. After you have been on the planet for over 20 or 30 years you have probably ingested, at some point or another, something that is now being stored in your intestines, waiting for the day(s) where you give your body a rest and simplify the functions of the organs long enough to release old build-up from your colon. Fasts are also helpful in neutralizing parasites whose over population in the bowels creates unnecessary bloating and discomfort. And most importantly, a cleanse can bring your mind and heart to a place of balance so that you can manifest happiness and wellness in your life and relationships.”
