Dr. Vodon’s Sport’s Medicine career began in 1975 when she created the first women’s athletic training facility a California State University, Los Angeles. During this time she accumulated over 3000 hours of student training under the instruction of the Head Men’s Trainer, Roger Dennis to attain National Certification with the NATA (National Athletic Trainer Association.) The following year she was asked by the UCLA coaching staff to apply to the UCLA Women’s Athletic Department, for the head trainer position. Upon receiving this challenging job, during her two years of service with the Bruins, Dr. Vodon assisted ten UCLA women’s athletic teams to NCAA championship titles including the Women’s Basketball Team who won the NCAA National Championship Title for the first and last time in Bruin history. Her success with the overall performance of the UCLA teams was attained with a comprehensive approach to training that included: Nutritional whole food programming, circuit endurance weight training and chiropractic therapies. The Athletic Training Profession, at this time for other colleges and pro teams did not consider nutrition and chiropractic as part of their working protocol or even the slightest importance. Vodon announced in the summer of 1978 that this would be her last year as the UCLA athletic trainer, as she wanted return to a postgraduate school to get her doctorate in Chiropractic.

With her primary interest and love being track and field, Dr. Vodon is the personal physician and performance specialist to world record holders and Olympic gold medalists, such as Evelyn Ashford, Gail Devers, Jackie Joyner Kersey, John Drummond, John Smith, Dwight Stones, Sandra Farmer-Patrick, Sandra Richards , Mike Conley, A.J. Kirkland, Florence Joyner, Maurice Green, Barnard Williams and Marie Perec. Dr. Vodon regularly travels to national and international track and field events to assist these athletes in attaining their goals with a comprehensive approach to performance. Dr. Vodon has been to several Olympic Games as a performance specialist to her athletes including more recently the Beijing, China and in 2012 she will be going to London, England where the next Summer Olympics will be held.

Dr. Vodon opened the Chiropractic Health and Orthopedic Rehabilitation in California,
where she is now in her 29th year of outstanding service. Dr. Vodon specializes Chiropractic Corrective Care, sports medicine and preventative health care: Utilizing orthomolecular nutritional technology, exercise rehabilitation/programming and life style changes for optimal health and vitality.

Dr. Vodon was born in Antelope Valley, California and grew up on a poultry farm in Lake Hughes Calif. She worked hard on the family farm doing gardening, repairs, gathering eggs, milking cows and riding her horse as much as time allowed with her studies. Her mother was a classical pianist who encouraged her to study music and play multiple instruments in high school and Jr. College. Playing guitar, horseback riding and cycling are her recreational interests. She eventually aspires to ride on horse back the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada.
