I love traveling. I love discovering new places and meeting new people. I find that staying in motion accelerates my growth and I often discover new aspects of myself. Over the last 12 months I’ve been to Los Angeles, Israel, Los Angeles, Black Rock City, Los Angeles, Boston, Los Angeles, Israel, Los Angeles, Israel and so on, until about a week ago I’ve landing in Larnaca, Cyprus, where I’m writing these words.
Traveling also presents major logistical challenges – flights, accommodations, currency exchange, communication, Internet connectivity, jetlag, time zones, finding food that works for you, finding a yoga class.
Being away from the people I love is a major one.
Another skill I’m still far from mastering is preparing a sacred space. Over the last few years I’ve learned to respect and appreciate the major impact my environment has on the quality of my life – my well being, my creativity, my level of inspiration and commitment, and my ability to process influences, recover from breakdowns and integrate lessons.
As I’m figuring out how to approach this here in Cyprus, a dear friend just sent me this video, and I was inspired to share it.
